Tree removal is sometimes necessary due to disease, storm damage, or safety concerns. But we also believe in restoring balance to the environment. Every January, we order new trees. Every spring, we plant one tree for every one we remove. This is our ongoing commitment to keeping Western Minnesota green, healthy, and beautiful for generations to come.

Dalton Berry - Founder
Dalton Berry is the owner and operator of D’s Trees & Property Services, a family-owned tree service company providing professional tree removal, land clearing, and stump grinding services. With years of hands-on experience and strong attention to detail, Dalton is committed to delivering safe, efficient work and clean, finished results that enhance the safety, usability, and appearance of each property.
Before starting D’s Trees & Property Services, Dalton spent seven years removing trees for power companies including Lake Region Electric, Runestone Electric, Todd-Wadena Electric, Great River Energy, Otter Tail Power, and more. This experience built a strong foundation in utility line clearance, safety-driven operations, and precision tree removal, which carries through to every residential and commercial project.
The company operates professional-grade, lawn-friendly equipment, including an LS MT125 sub-compact tractor designed to minimize lawn impact, a Woodland Mills stump grinder mounted behind the tractor, and a larger Vermeer stump grinder to handle a wide range of stump sizes and site conditions. D’s Trees & Property Services uses trusted chainsaw brands such as Husqvarna, Echo, and Stihl to ensure efficient, reliable cutting performance. Dalton has a particular passion for stump grinding, believing the job isn’t complete until the stump is removed and the property is left clean, level, and ready for use.
Built on faith, strong family values, and honest work, D’s Trees & Property Services is a small, family-owned and operated business. Dalton and his wife, Shannon, are raising four children—Lebron, Hawken, Arwenn, and Daxton—and those values guide the way every customer and property is treated.

Shannon Berry - Secretary
Shannon Berry serves as the Secretary of D’s Trees, overseeing all scheduling and customer billing operations. She is the primary point of contact for billing-related phone calls and works closely with customers to ensure accounts, appointments, and invoices are handled accurately and efficiently.
Shannon is committed to providing clear communication and dependable support. While she may not always have immediate answers to every question, she takes pride in promptly obtaining accurate information and following up to ensure customers receive the assistance they need. Her organization, professionalism, and dedication play a vital role in keeping daily operations running smoothly.
Outside of the business, Shannon is married to the owner of D’s Trees, and together they have four children: Lebron, Hawken, Arwenn, and Daxton. Her commitment to both family and business reflects the values of reliability, care, and integrity that D’s Trees strives to deliver to every customer.
Jacob McGowan - Forestry Mulching Operations
Jacob McGowan is a valued professional partner of D’s Trees, responsible for all forestry mulching operations and collaborating closely with our team on every land and lot clearing project. His expertise plays a critical role in the efficient and responsible development of overgrown and undeveloped properties.
Operating an ASV RT-135 tracked skid-steer equipped with a Loftness drum mulcher and a Virnig disc mulcher, Jacob is well-equipped to handle demanding terrain and heavy vegetation with precision and control. His extensive knowledge of equipment operation and land management ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
During the winter months, Jacob also supports specialized lake operations by assisting with the cleanup of trees that have been strategically notched and dropped once ice conditions are suitable.
Known for his reliability and attention to detail, Jacob consistently upholds the high standards of quality, efficiency, and professionalism that define D’s Trees.
